Database of resources and valorisation of mountain areas — Deposits of travertine in Limestone Precipitating Springs

Geo-referenced database of vector type, containing areas reporting travertine deposits, mainly associated with sources or ‘Limestone Precipitating Springs’, collected at a scale of 1: 10.000 in the Emiliano-Rommagnol Apennines and approximated to polygons. The tabular content differentiates new data (taken from the author’s personal knowledge) from data from existing databases, such as the regional databases of the Geological Charter of the Apennines Emiliano-Rommagnol on a scale of 1: 10.000 or the Emilia-Romagna Habitats Charter. The stratigraphic and structural domains to which the geological units within which the alerts are found belong are also indicated.
