Database of the vegetation of the Regional Parks — Gessi Bolognesi and Calanchi dell’Abbadessa, Lakes of Suviana and Brasimone, Abbey of Monteveglio, Monte Sole

Recently some maps of vegetation were updated in the nineties of the last century, located in the Province of Bologna. Thanks to the availability of detailed orthophotos, used directly on video, it was possible to modify the original polygonal covers.The update concerned the following areas:- Regional Park of the Bolognesi Gessi and Calanchi dell’Abbadessa- Regional Park of Suviana and Brasimone- Regional Park of Monteveglio Abbey- Monte Solea Regional Park completion of the project of cartography of the vegetation, which led in the past to the realisation of 14 maps relating to the territory of the Regional Parks and of four other areas of naturalistic interest, the database of vegetation surveys was produced, accompanied by the points of survey of the vegetation, which in the past led to the creation of 14 maps relating to the territory of the Regional Parks and of four other areas of naturalistic interest, the database of vegetation surveys was produced, together with the geographical survey points. As the flora of Emilia-Romagna consists of about 2,500 species, the database houses more than 50 % of the regional flora.
