The “Common” class belongs to the theme “Administrative scopes”, of the “Administrative scopes” layer, of the Regional Geographical Database (code 090101 — COMUNE), scale 1:5000, v. 2014. Territorial area subject to the municipal administration. Several municipalities make up a Province or Metropolitan City. Notes: The municipal administrative limits of some municipalities also include rocks and slabs emerging from the sea (this is the case, for example, of the Tuscan archipelago). In addition, the existence of ‘administrative islands’ is frequent: the precise geometric attribute of administrative headquarters allows to identify the portion of the main municipal territory, which is not an administrative island.
