Dataset description

The Settlement Unit is that portion of urbanised/antropised territory with a consistent use and use within it. It can be built or not built. In general, in the municipalities the use of them refers to different terminologies: sometimes the building unit is sometimes referred to as ‘lot’, or more simply ‘construction relevance’. Its purpose is generally to delimit in the municipal territory areas that belong to a given property (thus defining a complex object composed of built-up, artifacts, green, etc.) Other times it can connote a more articulated area that includes several lots. Some examples: Residential complex, Camping, Farm etc..See: Area of relevance of the urban park or areas relevant to public service facilities (hospitals, cemetery areas, etc.) See: Hospital area
