Dataset description

Surface within road boundaries. It is the plane formed by the roadway and the relevant strips, i.e. quays, sidewalks and slopes; it may include different types of pedestrian, road or other road, such as tramway. See: The road area by CODICE DELLA STRADA (Legislative Decree No 285 of 30.04.92): “the roadside includes the roadway, the pavements, the quays and the slopes. All that is placed outside these areas is not road (e.g. grassy eyelash, water drainage channels, clearings adjacent to the road, etc.).”
