Defense works of the coast — Dataset

The coverage of the Italian territory, provided with the colour orthophotos made with Flight IT2000, was the source of information regarding the digitisation of the coastline. The 1:25000 scale IGM cartography and the coastline extracted from it have been used for the evaluation of the modified stretches of coastline in progress and backwards. In the first phase of the implementation of the project, a number of data already available from different official sources were acquired. These were then joined by information layers produced from novo which, appropriately elaborated, were used as a reference for the classification and coding of the stretches of coast and for the production of the different themes.
