Dataset description

RASTER type data (ESRI GRID format), consisting of square cells of 50 m side.Represents the amount of total solar radiation that, each year, reaches the Earth’s surface (thus excluding the absorptions due to the plant cover, the albedo, etc.). The data is based on the exposure and inclination of the cell and takes into account the geographical parameters (average latitude of the Emilia-Romagnol Apennines), atmospheric (transmittance) and topographical (shadow effect that the higher reliefs project on the lower reliefs at different times of the year). The unit of measurement is: [KWh/mqyear].
