Dataset description

The purpose of the map is to systematically identify and classify forms of land that are linked to recent or ancient erosion and failure. The types of failure detected were divided into three main categories: Morphometry (main forms of slopes), — forms and processes of water erosion affecting slopes and rivers, — forms due to different mass movements based on processes and age. This map has been fully incorporated into the Regional Landscape Plan, binding all areas in landslides. It was also acquired by computer at the end of the 1980s and is currently available in ARC/INFO format.
