Dataset description

The forest map on a typological basis is derived from the Charter of natural and semi-natural formations of the Lazio Region by deepening at the 4th and 5th level Corine Land Cover of the Land Use Charter of the Lazio Region scale. The typological classification criterion proposed for the Lazio Region follows, in line with similar studies carried out in Italy, a hierarchical criterion, in which the types represent the basic units. The types are characterised by a homogeneity from an ecological, floristic and cultivation point of view and, therefore, they can be configured as elementary management units
