Geological Charter of the Emiliano-Romagnolo Apennine 1: 10.000 — Paper edition

With the establishment of the Geological Charter on the scale of 1: 10.000, the Region intended to provide a detailed information tool to provide the basis for targeted analyses and in-depth analyses in specific areas and for specific issues. It is a prerequisite for any planning and intervention plan, both public and private; It is the basis for drawing up urban development plans, for an effective soil protection policy, for the planning of extractive activities, for the planning of surface and deep water use and resources, for the protection of groundwater from pollution, for civil protection, etc. Each sheet shall be accompanied by: A detailed legend, the list of conventional signs, one or more geological sections and often from various layouts (tectonic, stratigraphic, etc.). The methodological and scientific coordination of the entire project was carried out by the Regional Geological Office, by teachers from 7 university institutes (departments or institutes of Geology in Bologna, Modena, Parma, Pavia, Pisa, Florence and Padua) and researchers from the CNR of Pisa. Campaign survey and cartographic writing were carried out mainly by young professional geologists.
