Dataset description
The database of the Geological Charter of Italy at the 1:500,000 scale was created in the 90s by the digitisation of the analogue paper format. All information in the database is based on a litho-stratigraphic detection criterion, so there is no tectonic information. The database is therefore composed of 2 geometric layers and a descriptive table associated with geological units (polygons). The linear layer represents the only training limits.
