Harmful organisms — Black Aleurodide (Aleurocanthus spiniferus) D.D. No. 467/2023

The regional phytosanitary sector has identified areas infected with Aleurocanthus spiniferus in the municipalities of Arenzano, Castelnuovo Magra and Luni. It is a harmful quarantine body that is important for the European Union already present in other areas of Italy and Europe and that mainly attacks citrus plants, but also vines, apple trees, pear, khaki and some ornamental plants. Actions to combat the insect have already been defined and constant monitoring has been planned to prevent its spread on the territory.
