Dataset description
The data shows the number of inhabitants for each municipality of Lombardy. The data collected from the ISTAT census carried out in 2001(*) are represented. The municipalities were grouped, for ease of reading, into classes of population. The grouping in classes is used to identify municipalities according to the legal references (l.r.12/2005, L.r. 11/2004, Guidelines of the Municipal Pugss pursuant to Article 37(1)(a) of Law No 26/2003). (*) There are no population data of the municipality of Baranzate (MI) as it was established after the census with L.r. 13/2004. The municipalities of Santa Maria Rezzonico and Sant’Abbondio (established by L.r. 29/2002) were merged into the only municipality of San Siro (CO). Optimal display at 1:100.000 scale
