ISTAT — Italian administrative limits

List of Italian Municipalities historicised since 1861 on ISTAT basis. We keep track of changes in municipal entities that have occurred over time, in particular: — changes in the ISTAT code of the Municipality — change in the name of the municipality — change in the Province of the Municipality — change in the name Province The information comes from two separate sources: in addition to ISTAT, in fact, the ministerial source (through the Territorial Agency) has been integrated for the assignment of the National Code (or Belfiore or Cadastre). Decoding Fields: — r_status: 1=current 2=modified 0=cessed. N.B.: state 2=modified refers to the variation of common ISTAT, common name, ISTAT province, province name, abbreviation province, region — id_comune_next: When r_status=2 points to the next ID — id_comune_prev: Point to the previous ID if the municipal record has been changed.
