Dataset description

These are data on the Italian resident population per year and per municipality since 2002. In addition to the total, population data are divided into female and male population. The source is the results of the annual survey at 31/12 that ISTAT carries out at the registry offices of the Italian municipalities. The data is disseminated (as done by ISTAT for the Resident Population) with date equal to January 1 of the following year. The dataset is to be used in association with the dataset “ISTAT — Italian administrative limits”.
