Italian Geological Map 1: 50.000 — Updated edition

Map 1: 50.000 describes the geology of the Emiliano-Rommagnol territory, allowing very detailed representations and assessments: Its drafting was based on the basic checks carried out on the scale of 1: 10.000. This transition requires a framework and coordination of geological aspects, so as to require, in some cases, the involvement of more than one expert. Each sheet shall be accompanied by: A summary legend (more detailed and extended descriptions are referred to the explanatory notes accompanying the sheet), the list of conventional signs, one or more geological sections and layouts of various kinds (tectonic, stratigraphic, geologically framed, etc.). The production of the geological sheets involves lecturers and researchers from the universities, the CNR and the geologists who have collaborated in the detection of basic maps.
