Dataset description

The dataset is extracted from the descriptive sheets of the Jewish Cemeteries, published online in Pater — Catalogue of the Cultural Heritage of Emilia Romagna http://bbcc.ibc.regione.emilia-romagna.it/. There are 20 Jewish Cemeteries still existing in Emilia Romagna, mostly dating back to the 18th-XIX century, some even older as in the case of Ferrara, Lugo and Finale Emilia. To these is the cemetery identified with the archaeological excavations of Via Orfeo in Bologna in the years 2012-2014. the descriptive sheets have been created by MEB-Jewish Museum of Bologna and by the Cultural Heritage Service of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
