Land use (year 2009) — Metropolitan City of Florence

Polygonal elements of the 2009 Soil Use Charter relating to the territory of the Metropolitan City of Florence. Polygons, which cover the entire provincial territory, represent the different categories of land use identified. The data was promoted by the provincial administration and carried out as an update of the map related to land use promoted by the Tuscany region and carried out by the LAMMA Consortium in 2007 as part of the project ‘Cartography thematic Use of Soil’ which provides for the creation of a database structured in classes of land use extrapolated from the numerical archives of regional technical cartography (C.T.R. scale 1:10.000). Digital images belonging to regional photo archives were used for video interpretation.
