LIFE AQUOR project demonstration sites (LIFE10/ENV/000380)

The LIFE AQUOR project (LIFE10/ENV/IT/380), with a work programme carried out from September 2011 to April 2015, has been conceived as a demonstration action to encourage the reversal of the current trend of overexploitation of groundwater resources and to increase the rate of hydrogeological recharge of aquifers, with the aim of rebalancing the groundwater of the Upper Vicentina Plain (Veneto Region) and to ensure its sustainable use by current and future generations. The initiative is based on the active involvement of stakeholders and aims to consolidate a shared commitment to the quantitative protection of one of Europe’s most important underground water assets. The dataset indicates the location of demonstration sites on artificial recharging of the LIFE AQUOR project.
