List of libraries working in the Umbrian regional hub of the National Library Service (SBN).
The [National Library Service (SBN)](http://www.iccu.sbn.it/opencms/opencms/it/main/sbn/index.html) is the computerised network of Italian libraries promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, with the cooperation of the Regions and the University and managed by the Central Institute for the Single Catalogue of Italian Libraries and for Bibliographic Information (ICCU).
The Umbria Region has joined SBN since 1992 through the establishment and coordination of a regional hub. The Polo is based on the “participated” cataloging among the participating library institutions and on the acceptance of common rules that allow the development of “shared” services of bibliographic information, local lending and interlibrary and document delivery.
The Institutes of the Regional Hub that are part of the Umbrian Library System SBN share a computerised catalogue called [Opac (On-line Public Access Catalogue)] (http://opacsbn.regioneumbria.eu/SebinaOpac/Opac), which can be consulted on the Internet, which contains the descriptions of documents (books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs...) owned by libraries and links to digital resources.
