List of marriages, civil unions, separations, divorces and cancellations year 2016 on a monthly basis

The dataset contains the list of marriages, civil unions, separations, divorces and cancellations year 2016 on a monthly basis updated in December 2016. Since September, the dataset has been updated with civil unions in implementation of Law No 76 of 20 May 2016 establishing a civil union between persons of the same sex, by means of a declaration in front of the civil status officer who registers the union in a dedicated archive. By Ministerial Decree No 144 of 23 July 2016, the Government provided the transitional rules necessary to ensure the proper enforcement of the acts of civil unions between persons of the same sex, in order to speed up the activities of municipal offices, pending the entry into force of the legislative decrees provided for in Article 1(28) of Law No 76/2016; On 28 July the Minister of the Interior published the formulas for the obligations of civil status officers in matters of unions in force since 29 July; The provisional register of civil unions for registration of the relevant acts is therefore established in each municipality, pursuant to Article 9 of the DPCM, subject to endorsement by the local Prefecture;
