Dataset description
The Litological Database of Italy derives from the Database of the Geological Charter of Italy on a scale of 1:25,000 (CARG Project) associating the geological units with litological units, based on a coded litological legend. For each cartographic lithostratigraphic unit, corresponding to a polygon with the relevant SIGLA identification of the training, one or more litologies shall be assigned up to a maximum of three indicated by the abbreviations: LITO1, LITO2 and LITO3. The relevant part is indicated in columns PART1, PART2 and PART3.
