Magic Cards UM (OpenData)

The cards associated with the morphological units (UM, level 2) of the MaGIC Project are a compilation of the main geometric and dimensional parameters of the individual UMs and the main morphobatimetric elements (EM, level 3) that characterise it, in order to constitute a morphometric database of the hazardous features present on the seabed facing the Italian coasts. However, it should be pointed out that such morphometric measures are affected by substantial inhomogeneities, due to the lack of a well-defined methodology, and therefore a broad subjectivity of the measures, carried out by different operators. Such inhomogeneities relate, for example, to mapping as a single unit (frags, tectonic features, canyon heads, etc.) of multiple features.
