Magic2 Methodology used for vectorisation of IIM charts and for IIM data mosaicing. (DCAT-AP IT)

The methodology was decided in several meetings between IIM, DPC and CNR IGAG technicians As for the vectorisation of IIM charts, the process followed for this work resulted in the creation, for each scan graph, of one or more ASCII files of georeferenced points. The verification of the correctness of the vectorisation process took place through the creation of one or more DTMs for each graph, in order to verify the presence of any errors. With regard to the mosaic of grids associated with single- and multibeam data acquired by IIM in the sub-cost areas not covered by the bathymetric acquisitions carried out within the MaGIC Project, a DTM with a resolution of 50 m and therefore comparable to the nearest MaGIC DTM was realised through these data, with an overlap band between the two of at least 500 m.This will allow DPC to have the two datasets available and decide the best solution for the overlap band.
