Marine-coastal water bodies

Marine-coastal water bodies are defined in Directive 2000/60/EC as surface waters located between the baseline baseline to define the boundary of territorial waters and an imaginary line at each point, one nautical mile from the nearest point on the baseline. The internal limit of marine-coastal water bodies may possibly be extended to the outer limit of transitional waters. In the river Po river basin district, only one body of water has been defined for marine-coastal waters.
