## Glossary
* Degree Winter Day: difference between the average ambient temperature, conventionally set at 20 °C, and the average daily outdoor temperature. Only positive differences are considered, i.e. if the daily average outdoor temperature is above 20 °C, the Day Grade is automatically set at 0°. The sum of the Degrees Day of the individual days that make up the winter thermal season (which runs from 15/10 to 15/04) represents the total seasonality of the Day Degrees.
* Winter thermal season: period of ignition of heating systems, as defined in Presidential Decree 412/93; for Milan, the period in question runs from 15 October to 15 April.
The calculation period is that of the six thermal seasons between the thermal season 15/10/2013-15/04/2014 and the thermal season 15/10/2018-15/04/2019
