Mountain pastures

The database of Alpeggi is a census of the alpine pastures of the territory of the mountain communities of the Lombardy Region.The alpine pastures have been georeferenced directly, defining their shape, geographical position and topological relations with other objects. The alpine pastures were georeferenced “indirectly”, i.e. starting from the huts affected by the montication. The scale of representation is 1:10.000. The information contained is the general data on mountain pastures and mountain pastures (montication period, altitude hike, type of conduct, etc.), cadastral data, constraints and emergencies. A mountain pasture can contain more alpine pastures and among these is identified the representative hut that gives ‘name to the mountain pasture’. The municipality, the mountain community and the province belonging to the alpine pasture are defined according to where the representative mountain hut is located.
