Dataset description
251 sections perpendicular to the coast, which develop up to the bathymetric of 6-10 m, to monitor the morphological evolution of the beach, fundamental for the knowledge of the erosive phenomenon and its quantification.
The comparison of the profiles detected in the various measurement campaigns allows:
— to follow the morphological changes of the beach that emerged and submerged;
— to quantify the volumes of sand eroded or accumulated on the various beaches;
— to evaluate the rate of coastal erosion.
Over time, several measurement campaigns have been carried out.
The most recent measurement campaign took place in early 2012 (fifth mouse-batimetric campaign)
