Natural gas consumption per municipality

Consumption of natural gas divided by municipality, developed by Politecnico di Torino — Energy Department, research group Systems for Energy and the Environment. The data communicated by the distribution authorities have been processed on a municipal scale. The sectoral breakdown is estimated. The CITYGATESNAM field, if valued in SI means that in that municipality there is both the transport managed by SNAM and the distribution managed by the distributors described in fields 1,2,3. If valued at null or NO it means that for that municipality there is only the distribution managed by the distributors described in fields 1,2,3. Note: a consumption value -1 is equivalent to an unknown value. The data is provided in tonnes (as communicated by the distributors). Data are also reported in terms of primary energy (kWh and toe), based on a lower calorific value of natural gas of 9.59 kWh/Sm³ and using a conversion factor of 11 630 kWh/toe.
