Nursing Member’s Residencies for the elderly

The social health care residence mainly provides social care services to elderly people over 64 years of age, with severe psychophysical deficits, as well as to people suffering from senile dementias, who do not need complex health care services, but who require a high degree of care to the person with care and socio-rehabilitative interventions with high socio-health integration, who are unable to lead an autonomous life and whose pathologies, not in an acute phase, cannot lead to limited levels of recoverability of autonomy and cannot be assisted at home. The RSSA for the elderly cannot accommodate people under the age of 64 even if they are severely disabled, except for people with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, even if they have not reached the age of 64. The hospitality at the RSSA refers to long-term programs. Access to the services provided by the RSSA takes place through the Multidimensional Assessment Unit (UVM) (Article 66 R.R. 4/2007).
