Mosaic of digital maps made from the scanning of paper sheets. The digital maps were produced between 2007 and 2011 as part of a specific project (finalised for the vector acquisition of cadastral data and the transformation towards the national geodetic system). They were made from the scanning of the paper sheets and their subsequent georeferencing, first in the Cassini-Soldner system and hence in the ETRF2000 UTM32N system. The paper maps were constructed on a scale ranging from 1:1,000 to 1:4,000 (with some exceptions for the important residential areas, which were returned in 1:500 scale). The mosaic of the digital maps was made by cutting and eliminating from each raster the portion outside the actual area of the map sheet (which would overlap with the adjacent rasters), using as a mask the vector cover of the mosaic sheets produced in the context of the Piedmont Region mosaication project. This has allowed a continuous and complete data to be produced throughout the region.
