Po Basin, exposed elements, polygonal geometry

The polygonal geometry cartography, in relation to the type of elements considered, in relation to the scope of the Unit of Management UoM (ITN008) on which the Po Basin Authority is responsible, takes into account the macrocategories considered for the flood risk map. Following the specifications of the Floods Directive, sensitive targets have been mapped such as strategic infrastructure, production sites or technological installations potentially dangerous from the environmental point of view, urbanised areas, productive activities, strategic structures and locations of collective activities, historical and cultural environmental assets of significant interest in damage classes (1-4 from moderate to very high). The map of the exposed elements is represented according to the field “macrocategory district”.
