The literature landscapes identified as part of the preparation of the contents of the PPR are the places that inspired great writers and poets, in a more or less distant period, and which retain in their traits the appearance of the time; the landscapes of history are the expression of a precise historical moment and of a reading of the organic territory and with strategic and defensive purposes, of which the signs and artifacts remain evident. The PPR recognises as landscapes of history, among others, the Landscapes of Napoleon, the landscapes of the Cold War, the theme parks of the Great War. The landscapes of history and literature are described in the Landscape Scope Sheets; the relevant data can be integrated and implemented by the general government in accordance with Article 7 of the NTA Plan (Annex 3 to the PPR) and in accordance with the methods laid down in Article 55 of the NTAs.
