It assumes the contents of the basin planning derived from the elaborates produced by the Reno Basin Authority and the cartography of the failure inventory, published by the Emilia-Romagna Region. On 4 April 2011, the Bologna Provincial Council approved the PTCP Variant in transposition of the Water Protection Plan of the Emilia-Romagna Region (PTA) by withdrawing and improving the scheme.
