Regional Inventory of Air Emissions (INEMAR)

The regional inventory of atmospheric emissions is realised through the INEMAR software (air emissions inventory), a tool developed and progressively updated under an interregional agreement that currently involves, in addition to Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano and Puglia. The reference methodology implemented in INEMAR is EMEP-CORINAIR. The classification of emissions according to this methodology involves the use of the SNAP (Selected Nomenclature for sources of Air Pollution) encoding and the execution of estimates according to it; the anthropogenic and natural activities that can give rise to emissions into the atmosphere are divided into 11 macrosectors: 1. Energy production and fuel processing 2. Non-industrial combustion 3. Industrial combustion 4. Production Processes 5. Extraction and distribution of fuels 6. Use of solvents 7. Road transport 8.
