The ‘Geographical Database at scale 1:10.000 (CT10)’ was built from the digitisation of the CTR to the 1:10.000 scale (which is partly updated to 1994 and partly to 1981-83: see in ‘Description of informational content’). Some information on hydrography comes from the Directorate-General for Agriculture. Information on transport infrastructure from the Infrastructure and Mobility Directorate (data updated to 2000). The main elements of the core are represented by a vector dataset, organised by series of objects built on the basis of the CTR. The Base is not constituted through the mere numerical acquisition of the CTR, but only a few of its ‘information components’ have been ‘extracted’ by CTR itself. The CT10 contains the following information components: Altimetry, Hydrography, Infrastructures for the Transport of People and Goods, Soil Use, Significant Locations and Intersection Points between Different Networks. The geographical database at the scale of 1:10.000 is related to the entire regional territory. The data distribution formats are: ArcInfo and Shapefile coverage.
