Dataset description
The main unit for river basin management, defined as a ‘river basin district’, consisting, where appropriate, of one or more neighbouring small and large river basins and their respective groundwater and coastal waters.The programmes of measures included in the basin management plans will be operational by activating for surface waters, groundwater and protected areas actions necessary to prevent deterioration, protect, improve and restore the status of bodies of water, determined on the basis of an analysis of impacts and pressures.
