The evaluation of the morphological state is carried out considering the geomorphological “functionality”, the artificiality and the morphological variations, which together contribute to the formation of the index. The quality, expressed in five classes, can vary from High to Bad, while when it contributes to the determination of the ecological state of river water bodies it is divided into only two classes: “High” and “not high.”
