Dataset description
The dataset contains data for the calculation of several accident indices on Italian roads divided by province. Inside are the absolute values of the vehicles circulating, the number of accidents, deaths and injuries. Data of the resident and foreign population as of 1 January 2015 are used and an estimate by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) on the total number of kilometres of regional, provincial and national roads. The data are extracted from the statistical material of the MIT and published online http://www.mit.gov.it/mit/site.php?p=cm&o=vd&id=4222.
