It represents a useful basic cartography to deal with environmental and agronomic issues. The salinity paper describes the salinity status of the soils between 0-50 cm. It is a first representation derived from geostatistical analysis from punctual data collected in the Soil Database. The representation of the territory takes place through a knitted structure consisting of cells with a side of 1 km. The card contains information about: the salinity class according to USDA Soil Survey Manual (Richards, 1954); the electrical conductivity value of the saturated pulp extract (ECe in DSM-1) estimated through geostatistical analysis; the reliability of the estimate, i.e. the degree of reliability of the value provided that allows a correct interpretation of the Charter.
