According to Tables C of DGR No 583 of 19/07/2022 (concerning ‘L.R. No 16/2020, identification and mapping of suitable territorial sea areas and prohibited from carrying out aquaculture activities, approval of the Vocational Charter for the territorial sea areas of the Lazio Region’), the territorial sea areas suitable for mollusc farming are identified according to the degree of suitability with respect to different criteria: physical and oceanographic; biogeochemicals; socio-economics; logistics. For the identification of areas, the methodology set out in the Technical Guide AZA (Assignment of Marine Areas for Aquaculture), Technical Guide of Marino G., Petochi T., Cardia F. (2020), Technical Documents ISPRA 2020 was used, through a process of implementation on a regional scale. The level of suitability is diversified in high suitability (range 8-10), medium suitability (range 5-7) and low suitability (range 1-4). The data was created by ISPRA area BIO-AMC.
