Zone 1 — It is the most dangerous area, where strong earthquakes can occur Zone 2 — In the municipalities included in this area there may be quite strong earthquakes Zone 3 — Municipalities included in this area may be subject to modest shaking Zone 4 — It is the least dangerous zone The seismic classification (seismic zone belonging to the municipality) remains useful only for the management of planning and for the control of the territory by the competent authorities (Region, Civil Engineer, etc.).
