The descriptive component is represented by characterisation, that is, the description that a certain source provides of the object on a certain date, different sources generate historical characterisations in the system. The characterisation provided by the last source in order of time represents the current characterisation. The sources of the data are environmental statements, such as communications and notifications of potential pollution made pursuant to current legislation, PA procedures (Controls, Monitoring, Environmental Inspections) such as Characterisation Plans, Remediation Projects and the ADAs (Administrative Acts and Provisions), such as the approval of the Remediation Plan for polluted sites and the approval of the Register of Polluted Sites.
