Protected areas and Natura 2000 network: Special Protection Areas (SPAs) — Delimitation of Special Protection Areas under the Birds Directive 2009/147/EC (ex 79/409/EEC) on the conservation of wild birds. The objective of protecting these sites is the conservation of nature. The sites have been designated in accordance with the Natura 2000 network legislation.
