Structural Aggregates (RNDT — Series) — Version 2.0

The series of datasets of the Italian Structural Aggregates represents the result of an elaboration (primarily) starting from the building class of regional geotopographic databases. Derivative polygons have also been broken down on the basis of the boundaries of the ISTAT administrative units updated as of 2022. Unlike the original data relating to the building (or cadastral buildings, in some cases), heterogeneous for their origins and methods of realisation — also from a temporal point of view — the derived final product ensures a harmonisation at national level of the information and processing carried out and the content generated.The Dataset series is organised into 5 repositories corresponding to Class 1 of the Nomenclature of Statistical Territorial Units (NUTS), which identifies the distribution of the territory of the European Union for statistical purposes. Class 1 (NUTS-1) in the case of Italy, for statistical purposes, represents the official division of macro-regions and consists of five groups: Northwest, Northeast, Center, South and Islands. Each group is associated with its own identifier consisting of a sequence of three letters of which the first two correspond to the acronym of the Italian State (IT).
