Dataset description
The mapping of vulnerability to storms was produced as part of the European projects Cadsealand (2004-2006) and MICORE (Morphological Impact and Coastal Risks induced by Extreme storm events — contract 202798 2008-2011) thanks to the collaboration with the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Ferrara that developed an innovative and specific analysis procedure for the coastlines of Emilia-Romagna (see publications: Ciavola P. et al.,2008; Acts 12nd ASITA National Conference — Armaroli et al. 2007, Environment and Territory No 127 — Armaroli et al. 2009 — Journal of Coastal Research Sp.Issue 56; Perini et al. 2009; in: The Sea-Costa Information System of Emilia-Romagna).
