Dataset description

The Maps of the Citizens is a project of the Province of Prato to include in the official cartography (also digitised) the knowledge of the people: from microhistory to local traditions. The project combines the active participation of citizens and their knowledge of the territory with the recovery and preservation of historical memory. The Province of Prato, among the first in Italy, is creating with this recipe a Territorial Information System that enhances the interaction between citizens and institutions, with the involvement of cultural and leisure associations.
