Dataset description

The dataset contains data on the flow of tourists in the accommodation facilities of Milan, broken down by country/area of origin. ‘Presences’ means the number of nights spent by customers in accommodation establishments during the period in question. Data are available from 2000 to 2020, but with different levels of disaggregation reflecting geopolitical changes over the years (particularly for the EU area). In order to ensure the highest level of detail and correct reading of the data, two different time series were created (2000 to 2004 and 2005 to 2020).
