The Database of Mining Resources (BD_RIMI) is a tool for the knowledge of mineral resources and historical mining areas present in the Tuscan territory.The creation of the RIMI database has provided for the research of technical and historical-cultural documents, derived from archives of regional interest (for example, the Geological Mining Database, BDGM) and from technical publications in the sector (for example, Inventory of the Mining and Mining Heritage in Tuscany of the Department of Environment of the Regional Regional Tuscany, Magazines published by the Italian Geological Society); The database contains the location of the mining sites identifying a significant spatial location and links to these the tables with the main information and a series of descriptive sheets.In addition to the punctual location of the mining sites there are the information layers of the tunnels of any mining sites and the escarpments of the mines cultivated on the surface.
