Tuscany Region — Historical Geological Charter 1:25,000 and 1:100.000

The Catalogue represents the computerisation of geological historical cartography at scale 1:25,000 and 1:100,000, for cartography at scale 1:100.000 the vectorisation of the raster sheets was carried out.The archives contain: 1 — Raster images (ecw format) of original geological tablets at scale 1:25,000 preserved at the Documentation Office of the Department for National Technical Services.The original tablets have been used to draw up the official geological cartography at scale 1:100,000, sometimes even at scale 1:50.000 and their diffusion in addition to having a technical use in areas lacking in information, pursues the objective of a historical, cultural and scientific recovery. 2 — Raster images of geological sheets at scale 1:100,000 georeferenced (ecw format).3 — Vectors of sheets at scale 1:100.000 (e00 format, polygons and lines), the vectors of the sheets falling in the Arno basin were made by the Bacino Authority. When possible the original legends are available for download together with the tablet, however to understand the names of the cartographic units, users can also use the legend of Sheet 1:100,000.
